GENERAL

I am continuously amazed at how a messy blob of mud from the Earth can be transformed into a clean, polished, useful domestic object — and that almost every culture on every continent has made the same discovery.  It's a muddy marvel!

WORKSHOPS

No experience needed for the workshops and I welcome those who have experience as well.

I am not able to offer extra workshops at this time. If you are interested in having a workshop with a group of friends I suggest having one person sign you all up and pay for all of your spots at once when the new workshops go live on my website. This will ensure you all get a spot.

ORDERS & SHIPPING

I am new to selling on line and am working to find a good rhythm of creating in the studio, teaching elementary school, and nurturing my children and family. Please bare with me while I am working through this learning. Creating pottery is a very time consuming process and I promise I am working away at it in my studio to bring you quality products.

Due to the nature of the process I work in batches and therefore new work is released seasonally. Not every batch will have the same items so if you see something you like, nab it! I may make it again but cannot guarantee when similar items will be restocked.

Yes - see our list of Stockists for retail locations.

I currently ship Worldwide!  For locals wishing to pickup in person, use code LOCALPICKUP to eliminate shipping charges, and we will coordinate a time.

Ready to ship items:
Orders are shipped within 2-3 days of receipt, and you will be notified via email with your shipping confirmation when your order is on its way!

Custom orders:
I take custom orders when I have the time in my making schedule to accommodate. Small orders please allow for 6-8 months and larger 8-12 months. As these orders are not created at the same time as the original collection and are handcrafted there will be variations between the products. Complete tableware collections are available and we welcome wedding registries.

Damaged goods must be reported to Muddy Marvels Pottery within 48 hours of the delivery date for a refund to be issued. Shipping cost will not be refunded. A photo of the damaged piece, along with the box and packaging with all labels visible is required to be sent to Muddy Marvels Pottery with the report. (Email to info@muddymarvelspottery.com)
Damages outside of the 3 day limit will not be refunded as time sensitive insurance claims will be expired.
Refund or exchange of product will be discussed on a case to case basis.

All items sold by Muddy Marvels Pottery are food safe. Wares made of solely ceramic are dishwasher safe--no hand washing is necessary, although it is recommended as it will extend the life of your piece.

Items decorated in gold luster, metal glaze or accented with wood are not microwave friendly. This also includes the cork stopper on the travel mugs.  All other glaze combinations are microwave safe, however, the more you expose your pottery to quick extreme heat the sooner it will show signs of wear.

If your travel mug cork gets dirty, scrub with warm water and soap. To re-hydrate and seal the cork again you can use a food safe oil to rub on the surface allowing the oil to fully saturate the cork. I recommend coconut oil or bees wax board butter, which can be found at your local hardware store or supermarket.

Seconds are pieces that don’t meet aesthetic quality standards or are made as test products that didn’t make the cut for regular Muddy Marvels Pottery sale. The imperfections in the finish do not affect the integrity of the piece. Many makers throw these wares out, but in my practice of sustainability and reuse I prefer to offer them at reduced rates to reflect their visual impurities.

Giving room for imperfections allows for more accessibility for my customers and a less-wasteful practice.

As these pieces do have inconsistencies they may show signs of ware more quickly than the "unblemished" counterparts and that is another reason for the discounted prices.  There are no returns or exchanges on "seconds."

Examples of seconds:
- A pour over cone with a hairline split in the surface of the glaze. These splits do not interfere with the integrity of the piece.
- A dish with a small “S” fracture in the base. This fracture does not go entirely through or interfere with the integrity of the plates’ function

Each item is HANDMADE and will show the marks of this process.

Each piece is unique, bearing the same colors and similarities, with differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size.

All wares are made with attention to detail including remnants of the hand at work and intentional “imperfections”.

All items are food safe.

Most items are dishwasher and microwave friendly.

Pieces that include metal, wood, or cork should not be microwaved or dish washed, doing so may compromise your product.

Wares that have gold accents cannot be microwaved—the inclusion of 18k gold will be noted clearly within the description.

(Muddy Marvels Pottery) is a one woman business, please keep in mind that returns cannot be made for any reason beyond receiving the wrong product. (This rarely happens, but hey, I’m human. Bear with me.)

And Lastly...

Please remember to be kind when purchasing handmade. These items are loved from the minute they are made to the second they’re sent out to you. You are bringing a piece of Muddy Marvels Pottery and myself into your home.
