I have always been a creative person ― It was just a matter of picking a medium. At the age of 15 I was selected for a very prestigious ceramic workshop with the Canadian ceramic artist Joe Fafard. However, it wasn’t until I was at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and I had the opportunity to apprentice with Vincent Massey, that I knew I was destined to be a potter.

Muddy Marvels Pottery has many continuing collections and several seasonal collections. The 18K Gold Collection makes even your daily breakfast a reason to celebrate, and Modern Metal’s sleek lines and urban metal edge pairs well with any dinner. The MMP X NN Collections are an ongoing collaboration between Muddy Marvels Pottery and Natasshia Neary of where hand-drawn illustrations meet handmade pottery. Each piece is unique and has its own personality as every element is hand crafted and every detail carefully considered. Art, community, and purpose are brought together to make Muddy Marvels Pottery.

Meghan McCrone currently lives and creates in the stunning, mountainous, oceanside town of Squamish British Columbia. Muddy Marvels Pottery is a bright studio nestled into Meghan’s beautiful rambling garden and she welcomes visitors by appointment. Meghan has two young children who are already avid apprentices in training and she also invites budding potters to assist her and learn the full spectrum of what it means to be a potter.
She herself was an apprentice in Whistler for Vincent Massey and feels it is her turn to give back, encourage and inspire those just starting their pottery journey.
Meghan graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Ceramics and since then has participated in countless shows, markets, and galleries. Meghan continued on to UBC and obtained her BEd. She has been teaching art in schools throughout BC for over 15 years and currently is teaching at the Squamish Waldorf School. In addition, Meghan also offers regular month long pottery workshops in her home studio. She loves to collaborate with other creatives and encourages inquiries for special or wholesale orders.
